What's really ridiculous are the comments on here. Folks are not comparing apples to apples. When I buy bagels at my grocery store, there is no shipping charge by second day UPS from New York City included, or the cost of promoting the goods on QVC.

ALL of the food QVC sells is RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED and can be found elsewhere for LESS. A LOT of the food is UNHEALTHY. I have NEVER or will NEVER buy food from QVC.

@layla2450, from my experience I don't find your comment correct. QVC food is priced competitively with other online food distributors.

And I suspect other purchasers do what I do and compare prices (on the exact same items) with other retailers, and the vendors' own sites.

I have found that often Amazon is more expensive even if they offer free shipping. I've found vendor's own website more expensive especially since few offer free shipping, especially on frozen items until you reach a very high threshold, usually in the hundreds. I have found Costco items usually too large an amount.

Other times QVC may be the same price as a vendor but has more variety in size configurations, or flavors choices, or combinations of flavors.

I understand if others don't want to buy food from QVC. There's plenty of items and brands they sell that don't interest me.

I don't understand anyone's comments about delivery concerns. I've never received a frozen item that wasn't in good condition. But if I had I realized all I would have to do is contact Customer Service for a replacement or refund.

I think people often fail to realize there are vast, vast areas of this country where many things offered on QVC aren't available locally. I think people fail to realize that there are vast, vast areas of this country that are actually food deserts...even within major cities.

There are sometimes unique items presented that I know will add enjoyment and convenience to a distant loved one. Sending them something special, to me, is more important than the cost. I'm sure many here have bought local, or made themselves, then shipped to loved ones. The cost and effort were not insignificant. QVC makes it easy to let someone know you're thinking of them.

No, I have not tried the chicken breasts. Thanks for the heads up! I have an AD order of half bourbon and half sweet and spicy tenders. They arrive tomorrow. Today I received my pecan smoked baby back ribs.

We also enjoyed the bbq bacon and I have never seen them again! I hope they return sometime.

I have also ordered their smoked turkey breast and ham  around the holidays.

@KBEANSThe pecan smoked ribs sound very good.  You'll have to report on those. We order the bacon wrapped stuffing filled turkey breast, very good.  I hope they bring back the bacon. Smiley Happy

So much anger and bitterness about foodstuffs you are not required to purchase, accompanied by the all-too-familiar caps and bolding.  The vitriol about Qurate's offerings could be disturbing,  were it not so amusing.

Three people on the set is far too many, sometimes four if another show host decides to do a walk-on and grab a meal.

The distracted show hosts are far to busy stuffing their faces, paying little or no attention to the product vendor.

Rick and Alberti look like two death row inmates feasting on their last earthly meal.

They put those two together?????

Oh boy, glad I missed that show!

I will watch GH depending on who is hosting.  Love Jayne, Leah, Pat !!

AND in MY experience with other food vendors you're statement is NOT TRUE.

I've found food items at vendor's sites to cost the same or maybe less, but you pay the shipping!

Re: Gourmet Holiday

The price for the food is high ( and not just here) but you have to consider that shipping food in dry ice, 2 day shipping (in most cases) is very costly.  I bet most of the shipping costs would be close to $30.00.  Look at other companies that ship food and check their shipping costs.

I always take that into consideration when thinking about ordering food items.  I have ordered quite a bit of food and I think I only requested a refund once.
