I could have written the second part of your post LOL.  Yes I believe it definitely will take some getting used to when he retires. I think his retirement will be a gradual thing though. I can see him taking jobs that he wants instead of because he has to.

@monicakm   There is BIG difference in doing something you want to rather than have to.  I wish him the best.  He sounds like a great guy. 

 

My question: when does a homemaker get to retire?  LOL
