So another friend convinced me to fly to Virgina Beach Virgina on last Wednesday returning Sunday 11/13.  I was very nervous but I DID IT !!   We flew to SW airlines to Baltimore then on to Norfolk and drove to Virginia beach. We left Norfolk, flew to Orlando and back to St. Louis so I had 4 flights. I had a great time, went to Richmond Va, Williamsburg to see the Yankee candle factory, thru tunnels of Chesapeake bay. Stayed in a lovely hotel in a suite on the 16th floor overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. I also took a picture in front of the QVC sign at the call center in VA beach. To all who live in that area, what a beautiful place to go for a vacation !     I just may fly again !!

I don't envy you.  Flying is a chore today.  Take off your shoes, metal detector or whatever.  I don't enjoy flying.  The last time I did was 4 or 5 years ago and ended up giving up some moisturizer because the jar was too big.  I did not like that.  Glad you enjoyed yourself.

I am so glad you had a great time! Travel is a wonderful thing, though sometimes there are difficulties in the "transit" part.

The discovery of new places and people is so joyous.

CONGRATS!  I was there but in 2000 we flew to New Mexico to possibly purchase a home.  Our Granddaughter was in Kingergarden.  I was scared to death but she

was so excited.  I could not take that away from her by shoiwng my fear.  Watching her

face full of excitement and happiness I held on to the armrest on the other side

and smiled and laughed with her!  It was a WONDERFUL experience  (50 yrs ago I

kissed the ground when we landed).   Now  we fly everywhere.  2 years ago to Italy

and will be going again.   Every year we fly to Las Vegas.  We fly to So. CA for

Birthdays and fly back the same day.   Now it's my first choice and am always looking

for the best deals on flights.

That's awesome!   I got on a plane for the first time EVER in my 61 years of life on this Earth!.    I had no choice, my son got married in another state many states away from me.  I was very scared, claustrophobic and I DID IT TOO!   It wasn't as bad as I thought.  I didn't love it by any means but I did it, and I feel very good about it.  My Faith is bigger than my Fear I kept telling myself!
