Got my SS check today with new 2024 COLA increase today

I get my social security check on the 2nd Wednesday of each month and today,  it had the new  COLA increase on it!  I guess I didn't realize that it started in December not January. I know--payments are a month ahead---but nice surprise.

Ours is next Wednesday but our bank grants access to it the Friday before.

@wagirl  Are you sure?   I just got my deposit and it's the same.  I also got a notice yesterday of my new payment and that it starts in January.  Please re-check  and let us know.   Could there be another variable in your check?

Mine comes the fourth Wednesday and the amount I'm scheduled to receive 12/27 doesn't reflect the increase.

I get mine the 2nd Wed of the month and it was the usual amount.  Thought it didn't start until January.

The increase isn't effective until January of 2024.  I got mine today and it is the same amount.

Are you sure.  I get mine today and it was the same amount.  I received notification from SS that the new amount would not be until my January payment.
