My husband does ours using Turbo Tax but we are still waiting for our investment income paperwork which isn't in until late February. He's started plugging in what he can but we can't finish until we have all that paperwork.

@Goodie2shoes   We have a small business, so we always work with a professional.

Our long time tax accountant passed away a few months ago so we had to find a new person.  This guy comes to the house, which is nice.  We have not received all of our investment tax documents so we always make our appointment for mid March.

My returns are complicated, and while I could do them, I don't want to. Once I have all of the needed info from my investments, I'll put the package together and e-mail it to my accountant.

I have been using TurboTax for years for the whole family, now I'm just down to me. Still waiting for one document and will do them myself since I am a retired accountant.  I did a lot of taxes in my lifetime while I worked at various jobs.✍️🧮💲

My accountant has all my stuff. Just waiting to hear. I got everything to her earlier this year.  Usually I get everything together on Presidents Day weekend.

Anyway, I am sure I will have to pay as I did last year, along with estimated.  So I'm anticipating no change to that. Pay and quarterly estimated.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

My husband does our taxes ... always has.  I just sign where he tells me to.  It's a bad time of year and I steer clear of him trying to avoid annoying him at all costs.  He waits until the very last minute to complete them.  He always blames me for "owing."   I am on SS and retired.

We have used a tax fir years. We are still missing information from the development we live in to start collecting out paper work

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive what could go right.

I use a CPA firm. My previous CPA retired. We were with them for many years, first the father then, the son. But, they referred us to this firm & sent all of our tax records to them last year & they did a good job. We’ve submitted all of our documents & I’m in no hurry as we never get a refund.

@Ainhisg I so hate waiting to get all the paperwork needed.  I too am still waiting for two 1099's. Even then I know I will be receiving corrected ones two weeks after receiving them.  I have learned to wait now to send off to the accountant.
