Not necessarily, DD had a mass discovered in her breast and they removed it before it they did a biopsy.

@Still Raining sounds like they removed the lumps to be biopsied. I think that is common procedure if the lumps aren't too big or too numerous. That way, if they come back as cancer they wouldn't have to do another surgery. They could just go to radiation/chemo or whatever the current treatment is.
I had a breast biopsy once. I wasn't treated like a pincushion before. They did an ultrasound first and when that wasn't definitive, I was scheduled for a biopsy which was a surgical biopsy, not a needle one.

I keep coming back to the fact that she started the GoFundMe account to help pay for removal of the glue from her hair.
Then she gets the procedure done free of cost, and says she's going to give the money to some needy families.
Now she's having a so-called mommy makeover ....what the heck?
I'm not sure what bothers me more .... the fact that the GFM money is going for a vanity procedure ... NOT the reason people donated .... or the fact that a woman this stupid has at least one child! Yikes!

I hope that she comes through this nightmare scenario. That's all I feel about it.

I agree, regardless of whether I think the glue incident was real, or a scam, my heart goes out to ANY woman dealing with prospect of breast cancer.

@KingstonsMom, @suzyQ3 Well of course, you are both right. It's the good human thing to do, to feel empathy for another. I hope she is ok too.

Or start another 'Go Fund me' account.....
She donated most of the go fund me money to a foundation that performs free reconstruction surgery to people in developing countries.
She hasn't sued Gorilla Glue.

@JaneMarple, that is exactly what happened to one of my dearest friends. She was in an automobile accident and when scans of her head was taken a brain tumor was discovered. The surgery saved her life.

@tends2dogs I thought the same thing at first too. But, keep reading. She decided to get a Mommy Makeover (which does include breasts) and went to the same doc who got the glue out of her hair. Apparently, he was the Plastic Surgeon who offered her his services pro bono to get the glue out. During pre-surgery workup, they discovered the lumps.
However, I would think that any good plastic surgeon would've done the same workup and found the same thing, so I don't really credit that particular doctor or the Gorilla Glue incident. UNLESS, the doctor talked her into getting the surgery in the first place.
Mommy makeover paid for by the Gofundme I'm sure.

Pre-Op check-up maybe ...
I would assume she also had blood work ect. done too.
