Easy peasy.   They make things called "jackets".   You put them on,  you take them off.   QVC even sells them.   Get yourself one.

The last few days it has been rather on the warm side here in the St. Louis area.  Today it was almost 70.  They just gave us the weather on our local news.  Starting early Friday morning ice will be heading our way from the south.  Predicting 1/4" of that stuff.  Will end some time Saturday......then warm up again on Sunday.

Heck, I just got my car cleaned off Sunday from the last snow we got.  Ice is much harder to get rid of especially when you have a cane in one hand and the scraper in the other.  Have an eye doctor appointment on Monday.  Live in an apartment and the area behind the building where we park our cars is all black top and is hilly to boot.  This is when I miss the garage I used to have.....

Depending on what time your appt. is, maybe reschedule eye dr. appointment?  Better to be safe than sorry...snow is bad enough, but ice is an accident waiting to happen.

@Kachina624@SeaMaiden was wearing them.  Not enough ice for grips to dig into!

@AKgirl2.........I'm ready to cancel if it is bad enough.  They said it made it up to 74 today.  Right now it is in the upper 60's......   The ground is not frozen right now, but the blacktop is where the problem comes in......

Went to my regular eye doctor this past Monday (a rescheduled appt.)  This coming appointment is for the retina specialist.  All these visits I am having is because of the cancer treatment I have been on for 2 years now.  One of the side affects.....

@ShowMe ~ it's unbelieveable how illness affects one's body in different ways, as well as medications, which help one thing and cause problems with another. Hopefully, the weather will be good and mostly your eye appointments all go well for you.  Offering healing prayers❤️

Yes, unbelievable.  My regular eye doctor is the one that had me go to the retina specialist.  I had been going to him once every 2 weeks, then 4 weeks, and this last time 6 weeks.  And OMGosh, those little bottles of eye drops.....$106, $45 (for 2 different kinds) each.  That is my out of pocket amount.....even with prescription insurance.....  But I thank God that I don't have to pay out any $$$$ for the cancer treatment.  That is very expensive.....

Thanks for your healing prayers.

I'm still getting used to the "new" weather I've been in for not quite a year yet, vs. where I lived all my life. Rule #1 is NEVER go out without a jacket in the car.  The temp can change 10-20 degrees at the drop of a hat, and if you go anywhere near the water it will be chilly/cold and pretty windy. More temp changes and flip-flops than I'm used to. I can't count on the weather to stay what it was or is like I could before.

Don't be mad at me because you live where it is freezing cold and I don't. I have nothing to do with you living there. I was smart enough to get out of the cold when the opportunity presented itself. However, I did my time in the cold - 62 years of it.

Did I miss a post (something deleted?). I don't see where anyone is "mad".  And no....we don't all live where it is freezing cold.
