Good quality, durable bedroom furniture?

Any suggestions? DH and I bought our bedroom suit about 14 yrs. ago, and it has not held up well. We hadn't had it very long at all when the bottoms started coming out of the dresser drawers, and shortly after that some of the handles came off our dressers. I have been VERY disappointed with it, to say the least. We can't afford to buy new furniture right away, but I hope to in the near future.

I want to get something that is well made and durable. We live in an area where there are quite a few Amish families, and I have considered hiring them to build us some, but I want to look around first. Are there any companies you all might recommend for good quality bedroom furniture? Thanks!
