I was not following that, so I assume they are saying that he was asymptomatic and passed it on to his wife?
How do they know that he was the one who passed it on to her? Because he said so?

It did seem like good news but I guess when it all comes down to it, we still don't know where how or when anyone can get it and still have to do the things we need to protect ourselves and prevent it spreading.
I've been out and it seems many are not wearing masks or keeping distance. I sometimes wonder, you know you are out, it is easy to think well we don't "see" anything, or anyone sick so its ok, but it is not, you know?
A second grader just died from it and she was healthy. They don't know how she could have gotten it. They pretty much stayed home so we just don't know!
I'm still going to be as careful as I can. I have to.

I agree, we should always be careful and only do what we are personally comfortable with. I wonder if they will do contact tracing with this child? Seems like this would be one of the very rare cases of a child dying from covid-19, and they apparently could do nothing to save her.

Sorry, while I'm open to hearing all possibilities and know that the full 'truth' of this will not be know for some time yet, I'm at the place where it seems to me, they are spitting in wind, throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what will stick.
Again, I'm not at all opposed to all possibilities being looked at, reported, considered and I don't expect the full knowledge of this thing to be available to us yet. But I'm skeptical of everything that is coming out from all sources at this point, because I've reached my bs factor with what supposedly is or isn't as the longer it goes on, I know every viewpoint has behind it and agenda of some kind or another. I'm getting more jaded with age.

@Mom2Dogs wrote:@GrailSeeker I read this news earlier on line. It never made sense to me how asystematic people spread the virus.
Chickenpox is most contagious from 1 to 2 days before the rash appears until all the blisters are dried and crusted.
A person with measles can spread the virus to others for about eight days, starting four days before the rash appears and ending when the rash has been present for four days.
The average incubation period for the flu is about two days. So, if you come into contact with virus on Saturday morning, you can potentially start spreading it to others by Sunday evening. And by Monday afternoon, you’ll likely start feeling the dreaded body aches that come with the flu.

Should we believe WHO?
Initially they lied to us when they said it wasn't contagious while we saw videos from Chinese doctors saying it was and videos showing people wearing masks and police were forcing everyone into quarantine.

Before they did say that a person could be contageous several days before showing symptoms (those that are positive), didn't they?
But I guess this is different than just being totally asymptomatic and never getting sick but having the virus.
But like someone else said, then how did George Stephanopoulis wife get it? He apparently had no symptoms.

Maybe they are assuming she got it from him, when in fact, it was the opposite, and he tested positive from staying at home with her. How was it determined that he had it first, and why was he tested if he was asymptomatic? Just speculating as to a possible explanation.

New Associated Press article:
WHO: spread from people without symptoms
states:
"Although health officials in countries including Britain, the U.S. and elsewhere have warned that COVID-19 is spreading from people without symptoms, WHO has maintained that this type of spread is not a driver of the pandemic and is probably accounts for about 6% of spread, at most. Numerous studies have suggested that the virus is spreading from people without symptoms, but many of those are either anecdotal reports or based on modeling."
