Our Butch and our Nancy came home this morning. We heard some noise in the backyard. And we looked and saw Nancy and Butch roaming around looking for food. We [Libby and I] got them some water and food. We both looked at them and they look okay. Just very hungry. We waited until they both finished and cleaned up the backyard afterwards. So there is hope for the other feral and wild animals to come home. My thoughts are with Beauty Junkie this morning. Praying that her feral Pal comes home and that he is okay. Continued prayers for all the animals that they weathered this storm okay.

Wonderful news. Wonder if they were together during this period of time since they both showed up at home at the same time.

Hello Rustys mom...Great minds think alike I was thinking of that myself. Oh just wanted to say Nancy is not a real three legged deer she is just limping on her back leg. Libby just calls her that. Have a nice day! [we hope this leg heals... it looked like she was putting some weight on it this morning]

It is good to know that she has all 4 legs. Hopefully it will heal and she won't be limping anymore. One of my strays, we call him good blackie, there are two black cats that come around, we call them good blackie and bad blackie because one is sweet and the other is a bully and terrorizes all the other ferals. Anyway, good Blackie was limping for a while, he was pretty beat up, patch of hair missing on his tail, above his eye and he was holding his front left leg up and limping. Thankfully he has healed and walking on all 4's again. He still has a very slight limp but nothing like it was. I felt so sorry for him and would give him extra food when it was so bitter cold out recently. My 5 ferals are Miss Kitty, she has been hanging around for almost 2 years now and will let me pet her if I am sitting on the porch steps, Good blackie, Bad Blackie, Mr. gray and white and Pigpen. Pigpen is a little black and white kitty who looks like he has been rolling in the mud. His white legs are gray with dirt. He reminds me of pigpen from Charlie Brown so that is what we named him. With all the snow and slush we have had he has been filthy and fur matted. He is a scraggly little thing but I can't turn my back on any of them, not even Bad Blackie. I take care of all of them, feed and water them daily and talk to them when they are around. Just call me the crazy cat lady. LOL. (I also have 3 indoor cats, Rusty, Lucky and Jasmine).
