@SharkE If your Get what you pay for comment was for my post about Wellcare Value Script. It has been very good coverage. I was surprised when it went to $0.00 monthly premium for 2024. But the coverage is basically the same as the last 2 years, tier 2 prescriptions are even lower with preferred cost sharing than they were last year.

I want a good supplement that is gonna pick up the 20% that Medicare don't. What I was talking about.
Makes me mad I have to pay for a drug plan that would only come into play if your suddenly stuck with having to have a bunch of drugs.
Medicare provider said to me at the time I was 65 you don't know what's coming down the road needing
cancer drugs, etc. So, we went ahead and signed up just makes me mad it can jump so fast in 2024

so you have to pay all of your own drugs plus the monthly
premium .
if you don't have a drug plan Gov mandates you have to have one
Maybe, just for the heck of it, you should consider an Advantage plan. Just to cover all the bases during Open Enrollment.
My sister went from Medicare to a Medicare Advantage plan and was surprised to realize it was cheaper ... and BETTER ... than her traditional Medicare plan.

@SharkE If it is available in your state, check into the Wellcare Value Script Plan. My premium is going from $11.20 a month to $0.00 for 2024. We pay $0.00 for a 90 day supply in Tier 1. Tier 2 it will be $9.00 for a 90 day supply using the Preferred cost sharing pharmacies. Since you aren't taking any medication, you won't be paying anything for a monthly premium , but you will have the coverage if you do need it. Hope this plan is available to you, it is a good Part D plan. This plan does pay before the deductible is met.

A supplement is a supplement is a supplement.
Plan N provides the same coverage no matter what company you choose. The only difference is the premium between companies.
If all you want covered is the 20% co-insurance, doesn't matter what company you go with, jmo, pick the cheapest. The medical offices are not dealing with the supplement carrier. All that matters is that they accept Medicare Part B

I have Florida Blue Medicare Supplement Plan F. It is expensive but covers everything medical. Still have to purchase a prescription drug plan separately and also dental if you choose. I know Medicare Advantage Plans PPO are affordable and most come with prescription drug coverage. Worth a look.

Medicare Part D (drug coverage) is not mandatory.
But you will pay a penalty if you want to sign up for a plan after you're first eligible.

Thanks for that information. I called up my Medicare specialist and am going to check into a new Part D for drugs plan. Don't take that much stuff. don't feel I should have to pay Aetna 40 a month and then pay for all my drugs too. Plus, they don't pick up till I hit the donot hole which is over
500.
Hopefull, I can get it down. Thanks for the advice !
