Look into Wellcare Value Script. My monthly premium went from $11.20 to $0.00 Has a $545 Deductible, Tier 1 drugs have a $0 copay for Preferred cost sharing. Tier 2 $3.00 a month. Tier 3 is 25% of the total cost. Some of the higher tiers, you are better off using GoodRX.

@rockygems123I'm also with Kaiser and my Supplement plan is $9. Haven't paid for any medications.
@Sage04 Growing up in the SF Bay Area Kaiser had a horrible reputation, heard a lot from my RN mom, she never worked there but felt the care wasn't good.
Moving to Colorado 25 years ago was hesitant to join Kaiser even before SS and was pleasantly surprised, has been fantastic, great quality care.
How about you, happy with the care and if you dont mind which state?

@rockygems123 oh yes I'm very happy with the care I get from Kaiser. There are about 14 in my area. I'm in Georgia. The one that I go to is a clinic about 6 minutes away with about 8 doctors, blood work and ex-rays are done there) but for everything else I go to the main clinic which is beautiful. Their Urgent Care is like a mini hospital.
I love my Dr. If she isn't available then I see another Dr that I like. They really give me the care that I need. I'm also glad that I can pick up my medications at the same office. Another thing I like is that they listen to me.

@SharkE To jump in here, my friend has been paying into this type of policy since the mid 90's. Recently she had a serious car accident and after hospital and physical therapy had to have home care for 3 months. Well she found out she had to pay for the first 60 days of care and then they would start paying after that for as long as she needed. Do you know if that is typical for this type of long care policy?

@yamma024 I also have that same plan, so far so good. I also use GoodRX for Tier 3 and 4 when I need it.

@SharkE wrote:my drug plan don't pay for nothing till you spend 550
so you have to pay all of your own drugs plus the monthly
premium .
if you don't have a drug plan Gov mandates you have to have one
The government does not mandate that you carry a Part D drug plan. Your choice to buy it or not, however should you at some point decide you want one, you will be penalized for the rest of your life and the penalty increases.
