I'm over this tired overused tactic by CBS any time someone wants to end their contract. It's becoming trite. Pathetic writing.

I never cared for any of the Canning character or story lines. I'm unsure if I will bother to continue to watch.

I don't think he intended to kill Will. I think Will tried to intercede and got caught in crossfire.

I guess you would call it a ""mental breakdown"". He was being held in the general jail population and had been beaten up several times. Obviously he was having difficulties in that environment. he just sort of flipped out and grabbed the guard's gun and started shooting. I don't think he was trying to kill Will as a individual. Will and the DA were just easy reach targets.

Maybe Josh realized the show was on its way over the cliff. It hasn't been as good, lately.
