Golden Retriever puppy's problem w/ lint roller

[ Edited ]

Enjoy the brave high-pitched barks while you watch... Smiley Wink

Having a ruff day? Very perplexed Golden Retriever puppy freaks out over a LINT ROLLER lying on the floor

  • The adorable dog was filmed by its owner jumping around and barking
  • Sweet puppy Bentley, who is thought to live in the US, can't decide if he is terrified or thrilled by the seemingly-innocent object lying on the floor

It's not unusual to see a dog lose his cool when he comes face-to-face with another canine on the street. But most furry pets don't go totally crazy over unmoving, inanimate objects.

Well, except Bentley.

The first time this puppy saw a lint roller, he went nuts, jumping around it, barking, and generally freaking out.

What is this? A puppy freaks out over a lint roller laying on the carpet in a funny video
Confused: The little Golden Retriever can't seem to figure out what the roller is or what it does

Move! He hits it several times but the roller barely budges an inch

The Golden Retriever has no real reason to go wild as the video begins. No one is coming after him with the lint roller, rolling it over his skin, or even rolling it across the floor.

The tool is just sitting on the carpet at home, still, while Bentley goes to work.

First, he brandishes his paws, not quite getting close enough to actually touch the lint roller. He then touches the handle with his mouth — which really sets him off.

Seemingly for no reason, the puppy starts barking, growing more frustrated. He hits it with his paws, growls, and jumps around while the roller just sit there.

It's unclear if Bentley thinks the roller was another animal, though he does seem to be trying to scare it into moving off his turf.

You got a problem? The dog, named Bentley, seems furious at the inanimate object
Get out of my way, roller! He hits it, barks at it, growls, and bites the handles

His owners can be heard talking in the background of the clip, remarking on how cute the puppy is and pointing out that he's fighting with a lint roller.

One even eggs him on as the video cuts away, saying: 'Get it, Bentley!'

While his reaction to the lint roller is a bit strange, though, Bentley is in good company with some other pups who don't know how to handle 'technology'.

That raised paw! Smiley Very Happy  I'm done.

That is the cutest little puppy - Goldens are adorable.  When I played the video, my dog just came running in the room looking to see where the barking dog was.

@MaggieMack

Thanks, MM!   Great minds and all.  ;-)

It's the "Manipura" (solar plexus) chakra, for self-esteem. 8)

It also governs warrior energy and the power of transformation.

Got a cheap necklace of it, too; need all the help I can get, LOL.

Glad you enjoyed this baby; kisses to yours from "Auntie Feline". ;-)

@feline groovy, your chakra representation wasn't lost on me! Studied it for years, even more to get my yoga teaching certification. Carolyn Myss and Anatomy of the Spirit are wonderful. Just let every chakra point glow!

Had a feeling you understood, MM  8) but thought I'd post it anyway.

Bless you for being a yogi!  I fell in love with yoga about 12 years ago, and really miss the classes.

But do have books, CD's, and some videos, plus there's lots of free ones online.

love Caroline Myss; first saw her on Oprah may years ago. 8)
