Chris is the one who was estranged from Gloria and while the story appears to involve her former shrink, the details have never been divulged. If her estate is as large as some suggest, in the neighborhood of 200M, then yes, I personally think it was petty not to leave something somewhat significant to each of her sons, regardless of who might have been her favorite.
I have a feeling the older boys inherited plenty from their father and well you know, 200 million only goes so far.LOL

I think you are all assuming the bulk of the estate was a lot. I bet the apartment was the most valuable thing she had. She probably has some things that would be valuable collectibles, jewelry, but probably not a lot of money. Which is why she said “no trust fund.” He probably has more money from working himself. Of course I don’t know. What I mean is it is all speculative.

@NYCLatinaMe According to public records Gloria's net worth is approximately $200,000,000. Not sure of the value of the apartment.

Gloria had 4 sons I believe. Two with her 3rd or fourth marriage to a famous conductor. Don't know his name. I remember reading in the rags, and newspapers about the falling out with one of her sons from that marriage. Christopher? Something to do with a doctor intervening, and some deep feud. He never spoke to her again. I believe Anderson reconciled with him a few years ago, but not with Gloria.
gloria did leave an apartment to the other son by that marriage. Must have been some deep feud. I heard he was mentally unstable, but that could be rumor.

She lived at BEEKMAN PLACE???? Didn't Auntie Mame live there? Auntie Mame is a heroine of mine. I wonder if Gloria lived in Mame's old digs?

I watched a little bit of Anderson Cooper today, and he looked older and more tired.
Given what he's been through, it's only natural to have it affect you.

When I watched the documentary, I thought to myself that Anderson and his mother must be very close, you could tell they shared a lot. He was her youngest, often that has something to do with it. He's a good person too, I'm sure she was very proud of him.

My farm grandpa’s will divided my dad’s family. Dad and one sister stayed completely out of it, but the others had a falling out lasting over 35 years, which they took to their graves. I lost a lot of respect for one uncle and two aunts over how they acted, and will never forget it. My parents gave us our inheritance before he passed; the only thing we split is whatever money is left.
My maternal great grandmother favored two of her seven children, creating ugly situations between my grandmother and her siblings that also lasted for decades. My grandmother willingly took something of her mother’s that had actually been promised to one of her sisters. It was a bone of contention between the sisters until my great aunt died. Since that sister wasn’t married and had no children, my grandmother felt she did the right thing since the “precious” item was still in our family.
I inherited that item and put it in my basement after my grandmother died. During the big basement purge last year that item was drug outside and burned. It had been an albatross around my neck my entire life, and I didn’t want it here. I just couldn’t like it, or be proud of it, and refused to bring it upstairs and display it in my home. I watched it burn, and let the fire cleanse me of that family drama.

I read today that her estate was small, 1.2 million. That is what Anderson got. The other son got the condo which is worth a lot of money. They didn't state the amount.
Anderson is worth over 4 million on his own. So what was left of his mothers estate was small.
He was very close to his mother. The death of his full brother was devastating to both Anderson and his mother.
She knew he didn't need the money and he didn't want it.

Nobody knows what was going on with that family, if I was being honest though, I'd be happy if Coop took a break from 'reporting'.
