The issue with Maroon 5 is that they are just not halftime show worthy in the opinion of a lot of people.  They are not from Atlanta, so they have no connection there.

They had one of the biggest songs of 2018 with Cardi B and that was probably the original intent of the invite.  

But Cardi B won't perform with them, so now they have to get out there and either not play their biggest recent song or do it without her (or with someone else).

The whole thing is a mess.

I saw her perform in Las Vegas years ago and she was amazing. Can't wait to see and hear her perform the National Anthem, she will do a phenomenal job and make this great country proud.

Melissa Etheridge is performing the anthem at the AFC Championship game Sunday. Haven't heard if she's "under attack". 

Good for Gladys Knight and Maroon 5 for performing. I have my own views but I also support their right to perform. Not a big Maroon 5 fan but I do like that song with Cardi B. Even though it has been so overplayed. It's very catchy.
