Re: Giving away a Christmas tree

I recently, I offered free a 10 ft Christmas tree (local online classifieds).  Someone called, wanted it, and I offered to deliver in my pickup truck, since it was 4 large boxes that would not fit in a car.

She was to email me her address and time for Friday delivery.  Never heard from her.  I figured, OK, maybe she changed her mind.

Late Friday, I got an email asking about Saturday.

I had other things going on today, and, again, offered to deliver on Sunday or Monday.  Or, she could stop by Saturday and pick it up.

No response.

While it's not a crisis or anything, I just find the behavior puzzling.  If you want something and it's free, and the person is going to deliver it, what's the problem?

Even if Sunday or Monday wouldn't work, at least respond.

Why is that so hard for some to do?

One step away from putting it in the trash Cat LOL

Have you thought about donating it to a homeless or homeless veterans shelter?

@Witchy Woman

You tried - if the person was actually interested they’d have been in touch with you.

I suggest calling Salvation Army - they will come and get the tree.

Re: Giving away a Christmas tree

@Witchy Woman- her not following-up probably had to do her realizing how big a 10ft tree really is.  You tried and that's more than most people would do.
