And, at the risk of offending someone (LOL) I have to say that I always thought dreds were kind of gross. Even when Bo Derek wore them as a TEN (LOL again)

As a person who works out a lot and has to wash my hair often. It's hard to keep those things clean.

I had more compliments on my hair than anything else!

I was stopped in public to ask how I got the color (auburn, natural) and the texture.

It was a beautiful color and wavy.

That moto has nothing on that short jean jacket they keep trying to sell on ShopHQ (Oh, it's evineLIVE now). That thing is cut so high it barely covers your boobies

I said early on after Joan passed that show would never go anywhere without her, I wonder if Melissa is having second thoughts. It seems like there may be some tension the 2 no nothings contributors going forward and there's that ditzy host.

I watched the show because it was an Oscar review and all I took away from it is that Kelly has an obnoxious laugh, geez she is loud. I liked the guy contributor, he was spot on imo...

Unless someone has experienced racist comments because they are African American can most of us really understand how hurtful her comments were. I have no right to tell anyone that they just need to let it go. No one on that show has any filter and it's a show designed to be insulting and crass. Without Joan it will probably go away soon. We can only hope.

I was called "wormhead" as a teen because my hair was wavy. A neighborhood boy came up to me and said "your hair looks like you have worms in it." As a teen girl, I certainly didn't like it.

I never got any apology, and I managed to get through life.

So I am to tell my African American friend that she needs to get over herself? Sorry, no can do. I never experienced some of the horrible things that were done to her while attending high school because of her race. This just intensifies that feeling for her all these years later. She thought by the year 2015 people would be a bit more careful with their words and have some sensitivity.

All I can do is tell her that I love her just the way she is.. and that not everyone is so dense.
