Re: Getting our first snow in Indiana

Cute pic of you though!  I can certainly see the appeal of living in a warm climate year round.  So many issues you don't have to deal with.  But personally, I could never be without my four seasons!  I find the change to be so invigorating.  And I'm not sure homemade apple pie has the same cozy effect in 80 degree weather!

I am east of you and have only about 6 inches so far. Enough to make a mess. I think I will stay in and get ready for the crowd on Thursday.

I love that this weather gives us an excuse to stay inside and just chill (sometimes literally!)  This is the type of day I get my decorating magazines out from years past and just look through them, or read a good book.

Re: Getting our first snow in Indiana

When we lived in Pa our backyard bordered the woods. I just loved a day when I did not have to go to work or have any plans involving going out anywhere, and it would snow. The snow would lie so quietly on the trees and was so beautiful. I would make something in the crockpot for dinner and  bake cookies. The house would be so still and smell so good. I would be all warm and cozy , looking out at the backyard was like wonderland. Wonderful memories.

Sadly, it rarely lasted. Some idiot would be afraid to drive in the snow and my phone would ring and I'd have to go to work.

Making it feel more like the holidays - SNOW!  I am just mesmerized when snow is falling!  Doing laundry and baking an applie pie - nothing like it on a Saturday!

Story girl has never seen snow - she's looking like "I don't think so". And out in the yard looking like a deer.

I think that it's really pretty to look at, but I don't like driving in it.

It's snowing where I'm at in WI, too. It's supposed to end around 3p.m. When it's finished, we're supposed to get anywhere from 5-9 inches total.

We don't have any errands to do outside today. We took care of them the last few days, knowing that the snow was coming.
