I never went to sleep like @drizzellla,

I started watching just before 6 AM.
I hurt my back big time yesterday afternoon and took something to help me sleep last night. I wanted to start watching earlier than 6 but just couldn't do it.
But I am wide awake now, made my way to the living room and having been watching since just before 6:00. Just took my first 2 Tylenol for the day.
I didn't want to miss this.

I got to sleep earlier last night, and set my alarm for before 5 am.
Yes, I am recording this. But there is something special about watching a historical event in real time, in my humble opinion.
DH spent a very long day yesterday volunteering at a car show event, which raises money for charity every year. I wouldn’t expect him to be up. He does respect my intense interest in British history and all things royal, as I respect his interests.

I was in 3rd Grade when she was crowned, and I VIVIDLY remember watching the coronation ceremonies on Grandma's B&W TV while waiting for the school bus.
My grandmother had come from Ireland, but still respected her. I think that's the way people were, way back then.

@PamfromCT I agree. There is something to be said about watching a historical event live.

The magnificence of the pageantry steeped in history is overwhelming for me. The preciseness with which this is being carried off and the size of the endeavor and all that it encompasses is truly a sight to be hold. The glory of Westminster Cathedral, especially the overhead shots looking down onto the black and white floor, the red of the uniforms, the young boys in the choir with their sweet faces in song, the magnificent flowers..........I am grateful to be able to see history.

I'm watching history unfold live.
I'm very glad George and Charlotte are able to participate also.

I didn’t get up early, but I did catch some of the service. I agree @Somertime It was surreal. So beautiful.
