So far I've gotten emails from NY Governor Mario Cuomo, a few Congressmen, one of our US Senators, and local representatives. I can't believe it's been a year since Sandy hit. I can still see all the transformers popping as we looked out the window while eating dinner by candlelight. We both thought it was lightning. The howling wind, the torrential rain....it was so creepy, especially not knowing what was going on, and being unable to contact our loved ones.

It seems like yesterday but yet it seems like a million years ago. So many people are still suffering from the aftermath, still homeless, living on the upper levels of their destroyed homes, even living in their cars.

Saying prayers for all those who are still affected by the storm a year later, and hoping it never happens again.
