Others speculated that there was a life changing health issue .. who REALLY knows but his M.D..?

We will all know soon, a crime has been committed with 150 lost souls. Right now, from what I can piece together, the breakup may have pushed him to some sort of psychotic episode.

Where does doctor/patient confidentiality fit in to all of this?

Is this a doctor that is working on behalf of the airlines, or the persons own personal doctor?

I gonna take a wild guess right now and assume the doctors he was seeing were not referred by the airline.

The doctors have to be forthcoming right now to the law/officials....how and when it is leaked is the question-a-y.

Because otherwise I'd have to wrap my mind around a doctor giving an active pilot on rotation a slip of paper telling him not to 'work'. I can't do that right now.

I have NO idea what the DR /Patient confidentiality laws are in other countries...

I believe if a crime is committed they should be NULL and VOID no matter where you live...

Fighting for them.( formerly EMTHeart)

Sydney - exactly. Right now those docs at that facility are being raked over the coals by the police/officials...their documentation, records of what they knew and when, and why wasn't this brought to proper authorities.....I guarantee it.

It is just as likely that the medical condition was something progressive and he felt this flight was possibly the last one he would be allowed to make. He may not have given a single thought to the passengers just made the decision that if he could no longer fly he no longer wanted to live and chose to die doing what he loved most.

And often times, serious depression is part of a medical illness. But we don't know if that was him or not.
