From my Florida newspaper this AM, hidden somewhere inside, there's an article that tells George and his g/f friend were having an argument at the door to his home. He didn't want her inside. At some point he threw a wine bottle, not hitting her, but she got in her car and drove away (smart lady!) and police stopped her because she didn't have her lights turned on (dumb driver). Then she told her story to them.
Would anything come of the whole mess if she'd had automatic lights or been aware enough of the dark to turn them on? We'll never know!

If he threw a wine bottle at her, don't you think she might have been upset enough to forget to turn on her lights? It could have killed her if it hit her in the head. It sounds like she was upset, not dumb. Should this story have stayed "hidden" and not come out at all, and just let him continue to do this sort of thing until he kills someone else?
I think it's a good thing she didn't have her lights on and was stopped by the police. If I'm not mistaken, this is the third incident where he has been in trouble with the law since he was acquitted - he needs to be stopped.

Yes, 3 times for domestic violence. He's been pulled over multiple times and threatened to kill another driver in a road rage incident. Charming guy.

I'm not supporting him. Wouldn't want anyone I know to be with him. I do think he's more than a bit unstable, but I have little sympathy for the women who ignore his very public record. Why ever get involved when he has done nothing to proved he's changed or ever will?
And, yes, I think she was upset. That's good - may she be scared enough to stay away not only from GZ, but from others with well-known anger management problems. It's all well and good for us to think "they" shouldn't do that, but "they" do and I'm pessimistic we as a society can do more to protect ourselves than stay as far away as possible.

I agree with you, chickenbutt. I would add: Not directed at any particular person, but I'm not sure why we're being told not to discuss this topic or direct our concerns to the courts, etc.
doo: Nobody was told not to discuss this topic. The problem is that anybody who sways one iota away from disagreeing 100% about the original trial has been summarily taken down and dismissed as supporting him.
The FL court system is germane to Z - it was the stand your ground law that allowed Z to walk free. Personally, I believe the law is flawed beyond being reasonable and that is why the issue is brought up. It's as valid a point of discussion as all the other points.
His prior domestic abuse has nothing to do with that trial. It is not the same as OJ - OJ's domestic abuse related to Nicole, the very woman he was accused of murdering.
If Z had had other confrontations with Trayvon, then it would have been valid evidence. A person with a domestic abuse/other violent acts tag is not necessarily guilty of another crime. We know this.
Some will not rest until Z is behind bars for life. They want Z punished for that night with Trayvon, and will only consider justice served if Z is sent away for good - no matter the crime - it will always be about the perception that Z's punishment will be for Trayvon and nothing else.
I still say that this latest issue with Z isn't worth national news. Had there been something else that came to light regarding Trayvon, great. But it's just another media blitz, following him as though this is going to ever change the death of Tray or the outcome of the trial.
People are seeking revenge anyway they can get it.

Hi, Cakers. You've been on my mind, and I hope you're well. I continue to send positive vibes your way, dear lady.
I think you make some excellent points, your comments are good food for thought, and in fact make me see the situation in a different light. I need to think about this a bit more, but I do think some of my reactions are motivated by this wish for some sort of revenge -- yet none of us were there, and it is a very flawed system. Thanks.

For the record - I don't want him behind bars for what he did in the past - that's over and done with - but for what he HAS been doing...he needs some time in the slammer to get him to straighten up and face whatever it is that torments him and causes him to act out.

I agree with you 100%.
He seems addicted to trouble...and involving law enforcement.
Most people go through their entire lives w/o getting in the kind of trouble he has attracted over the last several years.
