Wow.  Only 53.

Wow  amazing you didn't post any link to a site but would rather all posters after you Google this news to try to determine details.  Just wow.

Really? You are so petty.

He was one good looking man, I used to watch "Kissing a Fool" over and over on VH1 and his duet with Aretha Franklin "I Knew You Were Waiting For Me".

I LOVED that duet !!    Heart

I read that his manager said it was heart failure. It use to be said that if you have a heart attack under 50 it's usually fatal. He was 53, so I wonder.  Time will tell.

So sad, so young.   I have always loved his music and performances.  Such a talent with a beautiful voice and gorgeous looks.

He had a serious case of pneumonia a few years ago.   And I wouldn't assume aids, even though a past partner died of it.   He suffered from depression and used some drugs.   I hope it wasn't a case of an accidental mixing of drugs.   I guess we will have to wait for a toxicology test result.

RIP  George Michael, sweet soul.

@qualitygal I must define the odds then, I had a heart attack when I was 38 years old, I am now in my 50's and still alive and kicking.

I am a fan from way back!!!  I always thought he was just the cutest and loved his music. I loved so many of his songs but one stands out - it had kind of an Egyptian feel to part of it --- was it Father Figure???  I so loved that one.  And -- I want your Se*.  That song was just crazy good.  Another great talent, gone too soon and at such a young age.

TMZ UPDATE:

Sources directly connected with George and in a position to know tell us the singer died from heart failure.  We're told he was sleeping throughout the episode and suffered no pain.

That's pretty much what I had figured, that he had a heart attack in his sleep and passed away.

Just goes to show that as we get older, we can't take waking up each morning for granted.

I miss him.
