DH was reading this on MSN, and it said BACkups release forthcoming details.  I went there and his publicist said he died peacefully at home.....it sounds as if he suffered some sort of illness that was being kept quiet..... I'm in shock.....

WHAT? Oh my goodness, he was so young!! When I looked it up, it said he died peacefully in his home. I wonder if he had an illness we didn't know about. I hope this doesn't involve drugs, I know he has struggled with that in the past but I thought he turned the corner on that. How sad. Much of his music was the soundtrack to my teens.

I was fortunate enough to see him in concert many years ago, it was an awesome concert, so energetic we were all on our feet the entire time, he was quite the performer, thanks for the memories George!

Back in 2011 he had pneumonia - but no cause of death has been disclosed.
