Beginning tonight between 9-10 pm into pre-dawn Saturday.
Optimal viewing will see at least 15 meteors per hour.
Our area will be cloudy. The full moon tonight will interfere with viewing the smaller meteors.
(Perhaps the meteors will knock out the drones.)🤔😄

What region of the country are you referring to? The whole country? TIA

They will be visible in NM, UT, AZ and (maybe) So CA. There will be "competition" from the full moon, tho...

No meteors here, but am hearing drones are now flying in my area of Pa. Geez, you'd think someone would figure this out.

@Tinkrbl44 I am sorry I did not get back to you yesterday, and of course now it is too late.
However the meteor shower is visible throughout thenight sky.
The issue was cloud cover depending upon where one lives.
There were no specific areas for viewing.
One would have had to check local weather for cloud coverage. Plus even without clouds the full moon would interfere for some but not all viewing.

I doubt anyone thinks they're dangerous. Maybe nerve wracking, if they make noise.
If it was something serious, there'd be at least a few fighter jets checking things out.
For all we know, they're college kids with way too much money ... and time.

FBI and others are still saying the majority of these are manned aircraft. The highest incidents of reporting are in the approach patterns for Newark, Laguardia and Kennedy. There is a tip line set up for reporting. To date, 5,000 sightings have been reported with less than 100 of those being corroborated and requiring further investigation.
It doesn't help that fear tv and some conspiracy theory crackpots are causing people to panic. I really do worry about someone trying to shoot them down without regard for who is in it or where the wreckage lands.

I hadn't heard anything about drones in my area till last night, reports off Miami Beach. I guess they are everywhere!
