Two things come to my mind after reading about all these accusations as well as the sometimes heartbreaking and sometimes head shaking reactions by peope to them.  1)  No one should ever have to go to work worrying about whether or not another employee will be either touching them or referencing their private parts and 2)  In all of these high profile cases, the victims' stories have been thoroughly researched and verified before any disciplinary action has been taken.

I only watched his show a couple of times. I kept thinking what am I missing?. People just seemed to think he was wonderful

He show wasn't anything either , as far as I was concerned

I seen folksy done so much better. Jonathon Winters he ain't!

Harassment often contains an element of force, or just out and out force.  Most women aren't able to physically pull that off.  In other ways, yes.

This is why there can be no solution anytime soon.  So many people don't even understand the issues.  Harrassment doesn't to involve physical contact or force.  It includes verbal assaults or telling dirty jokes stories with secksual content in the workplace or looking at porn on computers when others in the workplace can see it, it includes using profanity in the workplace.  It's also pressuring someone into a date or sekshual contact.  There is a difference between harrassment and sekshual assault.

I have no idea who he is.  Finally, companies are cleaning house.  It may not stop all of it but the creeps left will think twice.
