@Noel7 I just saw this flash across the screen on MSNBC.  Goodness it certainly has become a race to the bottom and with all of the stories flying out it appears no one seems to want to be the last guy stumbling over that line last . . . Smiley Sad

Hi @momtochloe

He's 75 now, as is Charlie Rose.  These guys never wear out it seems.

Thanks @Noel7 and I completely agree about their ages/behavior(s) but I didn't word my post very artfully.  My dig was at the companies that employ these guys.  They all knew they had a problem and hoped it would go away but now that the genie is out of the bottle they are all racing their "news" out there so they are not the last one holding the bag.  Revolting, how brave of them.

The Washington Post just gave a couple of brief facts, very short.  I guess not much is out there yet.

Wiki shows he's still married.

As I've gotten older, not one thing surprises me anymore.

We used to tune in to Prairie Home Companion when we went on road trips, so my daughter grew up hearing the program.  She's the one to texted me with the news this morning and unhappy about it.

So?  Really, it's a systemic problem and great many if not most wealthy, powerful and influential men have a history of taking advantage of women.  It just isn't news anymore and since it is so prevelant, the drip drip drip is going to go on or years.  Certainly, when the names drop now, no one's surprised.

@chrystaltree

Yes, there are people who are surprised by various aspects.

Very disappointing.  I guess he left Lake Wobegon and went to the big city.

I don't understand this reply. What does his firing have to do with his going to the big city?

When the voice of Lake Wobegon is implicated there's just no hope left.

@JJsMom

I took it that she meant he left that simple, honest town of Lake Wobegon and stepped out into the real world which includes a different behavior.
