We play Mexican train dominoes most of the time.

Its been a while since we played Apples to Apples but I recognized the name.

There is another game we play drawing pictures after a player writes down a phrase or statement. Of course I don’t remember the name so I hope someone can help me.

Back when we were younger and poorer and raising young childrens; a group of us had game nights.  Scrabble, Monopoly, Uno, Clue.  It was fun.  We are still friends with some of those same couples but we haven't had game nights in many years.

Fall means the return of Saturday Night Board Games!!!

It usually starts at the days get shorter and colder. Dinner will be some type of comfort food and we'll gather around the table with mugs of hot cocoa and/or tea. Our hall closet holds the games and they include:

Monopoly

Risk

Sorry

Trouble

Life

Scrabble

Clue

plus a bunch I can't remember. It's our "Family Saturday Date" and we do it until Spring. : )

My mom is the big game person in the family.  She’ll be 92 years old tomorrow, and her favorite games when we are there with her are Big Boggle (not to be confused with regular Boggle Smiley Happy), and Pokeno.  In fact, tomorrow she requested the extended family all get together and we have a fish fry, and play Pokeno all afternoon.  Everyone’s looking forward to it!
