Re: Gaga's *BullDog Thief*--> *Sues* Gaga!!

Gaga should have paid and avoided the lawsuit.

Not only is the woman asking for the $500,000 reward, she is also asking for 1.5 million in damages.

Ahh.. Thanks.

I wonder if the "shot" Dog Walker would in any way, implicate, involve, or even remotely charge, this same gal, (who is looking for money from Lady Gaga),.

She might win.  I think it depends on the legal interpretation of "no questions asked".  If that woman did lead to the recovery of the dogs, I can see a court ruling she's entitled to the reward.  Assuming the reward did not stipulate that the person did not participate in the theft.  It's definitely a balsy move but she has nothing to lose.

If not for the reward and no questions asked, I doubt she would have ever seen her dogs again. The publicity would have made it too risky to sell them, so they would have dumped  them, or, more likely, killed them.

If she doesn't pay the promised reward, not only will her word mean nothing, but the next person in her position who offers a reward won't be believed.

Oh, please. No way in heck would a pay her off if I was Gaga. Go ahead and sue me, you piece of trash and I’ll lawyer you into oblivion.

She was aware the dogs were stolen and was standing around waiting for them to be dropped off. She was part of the plan to steal them. And yes, the dog walker was shot.

So let’s just now pay them money for the privilege of shooting someone and stealing the dogs?🤬

Officials didn't  originally connect the woman with the theft. After investigation they found that she was involved.

However, according to the news, Lady Gaga did say "no questions asked." about the reward, so if she promised the money, she needs to follow through despite  everything.

I wonder how everything will turn out.

Channeling my inner-Judge Judy: No experienced jusge would reward someone for a contract when they are involved unlawfully.

Except that all of that is totally irrelevant to the issue of the reward.  I'm no lawyer but I think there are several legal issues.  Is a promise of a reward legally binding?   Did the promise of a reward rule out those involved in the theft?  Was the woman suing instrumental in the return of the dogs?  It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I am not a legal expert on contract law, but I would be surprised if the commission of an illegal act doesn’t taint the acceptance and enforceability of a contract. Otherwise, you allow for a potentially absurd precedent of financial reward for crimes committed.

Re: Gaga's *BullDog Thief*--> *Sues* Gaga!!

The legal system can charge her and if convicted set punishment, that's up to them They can make her forfeit the reward, if they choose..

That has nothing to do with Gaga, she made an offer and the women held up her end, Gaga should hold up her's.
