My phone has a magnifying ability (with or without light).  It's probably an app.  It's come in handy a few times but when I could really use it to read a menu.  I never think of it.

That dangling power bank thing looks like it would be a hassle.  I almost bought these for the kids for Christmas but they never show it with a case on a cell phone or a Popsocket.  I guess if used your phone nekkid (the phone not you) this thing would be great.

We have a couple of these but they are in a large office drawer with lots of small tools and such.   A person should have them more redily available for every day needs.  I don't think we've ever thought of them when the power went out at night lol

I'm 5ft tall and use a pair of tongs (long ones) to reach down inside my top loader washer.  It hangs on the end of a shelf in the laundry room.  I knew when I bought the washer that I wasn't going to be able to reach down inside of it but I wanted the largest washer Lowes had and the one that advertised "use all the water you want".  So tongs are an every washing event necessity.

My grabber is used more for items that have fallen and rolled out of reach like under my desk or vanity.  I need another one.  One in the office and one in the bathroom.

I saw a cane/grabber/flashlight with an alarm this past weekend. HSN has it so I'm sure the Q will soon have it as well.

Different Use:

Im currently looking at the following "Airplane Phone Holder Mount" (below).  Seems for clasping at Airline seat in front of the Plane Passenger. 

(Have ZERO times now, Id be able to use it this way)

I would perhaps use this Gadget, this way:

Im often sitting at my 4-Drawer'd Secretary Desk, with my Laptop sitting on it's flat, Drop-Down Work Surface area (sample below).

   (whoops-  just invited you into my home, .. 

       ..  but, like late Maya Angelo said, no haters are allowed..)

  Then, this reveals an square outline frame of Desk in front of me.  Maybe I could use this below "Airplane Phone Holder Mount Gadget, clipped to this revealed square outline Desk Frame?

It wld free up valuable flat surfacelaptop/ desk space, & stop obstruction of the fan's airflow that I have aimed under the laptop, and on me!  (keeping 'us' cool). (thinking of @monicakm    )

If it doesnt work out well at desk here, Maybe I could use it for Cell Phone, in the kitchen? ..  clipped to something like a Kitchen cupboard door?   Maybe addt'l for Car??

I was really taken by your suggestion here.

I realized, I had a flat, rectangular shaped razor Box Cutter, but I could never find it, it was so easy to hide.

I just ordered this above "hook" box cutter you recommended, & it arrived.  I was surprised, the blade seemed to be plastic, vs metal razor?  surprised.

Just used my "box cutter hook" now.. WOW!!!!

I missed the tape part of the box to cut, and this *Hook Cutter* cut thru the actual box, actual cardboard itself, repeatedly, "like a hot knife thru butter!!"

DEFINITELY recommend this "Hook Box Cutter" recommendation of yours.
