Yep. She was always a strong personality. To Mark, she was "just one of the girls," he was not all that impressed with her.

Great post catlover - and I thought the bathing suit photo looked like the actress Jessica Walter. But Martha was quite the model!

I have a cute Martha Stewart story - about 16 years ago, my family and I were having lunch at the Union Square Café in NYC. Wouldn't you know sitting at the next table was Martha Stewart and a friend. Because there was a delay in our meals, the waiter was nice enough to give us a free dessert - a Baked Alaska! When Martha saw our dessert, she came over and asked if she could take a picture. Of course we obliged! And I couldn't help noticing her brand new camera - it was a digital camera, which were still new during that time (and expensive). But she was very nice, and I'll always remember our "meeting".
