do you think that hats will stay instyle, for the royals, etc? Are they worn because of the formality, of each occasion?

@10sluvr - When I lived in England, hats were considered "required" for weddings, church, etc.. I am not a hat person and I only wore one, if I absolutely had to! But family and friends didn't consider they were "properly dressed", if they didn't wear one.
DH and I attended a Queen's garden party at Buckingham Palace and I wore a hat for that (no choice). I still have it.

I hope they keep the tradition of wearing hats. I always thought that was so regal.......until they get really "out there" like some I've seen.

What a wonderful experience. I think a simple elegant hat, has it's place. Garden parties or outdoor weddings, etc. I would have been in awe of the gardens.

@Kachina624 I wondered this, too. Most likely a shroud of significance. I like to imagine her favorite riding togs as her final worldly dress.

The answer involves some religous concepts which would only start a war here, so I'm not going to tell you why I feel this way. I'm not avoiding answering; I'm trying hard to not to start a huge fight

@GoneButNotForgotten - No fight from me. Everyone has his/her own views on things and neither is right or wrong, IMO. Just different! ![]()
