OMG me too..One time my son answered and donated in my name (LOL) to the PBA..I gave the $25 he donated and they must of sold the list. I have been hit up by every charity in the nation.

It is bad..and this one number changes the last digit 0005..0006....0007...and I have to unplug the house phone on the week end when I am babysitting for my grandson and he is sleeping..they call all day long. We are on the do not call list. I have called the # back to remove from data base..i have pressed 2 to speak with somebody...nobody answers and the mail box is full..It is aggravating...and then the number changes..

I gave to St Jude's over the holidays..they must of taken the checking info off my check and send me preprinted withdrawal slips to send in monthly for that amount! I could not believe it. They got me one time before and were nasty. I donated at work and then gave my aunt a one time donation (thru her cancer center) via check..they sent me a letter awhile later stating it has been awhile since they received a check from me..and they hope no child in my family gets cancer. I was shocked...

As much as I hate to say it, St. Jude's is one of the worst. No matter how much or how often you give, it's never enough.

Some of the rudest callers I've had were PBA solicitors. (said they were police) One actually told me, when I refused to say yes to $50 donation he was suggesting, I'd better pray no one I loved ever needed the services of a police officer.

I agree lulu, they kept calling for DH, would hang up if I answered (which was to get a supervisor to stop the calls). I finally got one and explained my husband would never donate to an organization which was this rude! I don't know if they were really with the police as I couldn't get a straight answer on that, but after that phone call it was the last we heard from them.

I don't even have caller ID.

My landline costs $24 a month and I have it for my alarm system.

I guess I'll have to get an answering machine and caller ID!

Why don't you turn off the ringer? Seems like an easy fix and it's free.
