@KingstonsMom LOL I don't even care if it's frozen, unthawing, on ice, or whatever.  I can't!

Many kinds of reptiles have a type of natural antifreeze in their blood. That's how they can come back to life after going through a freeze. Another evolutionary marvel and one that has given them an advantage for survival of their species.

An advantage for survival of their species by the destruction of an area's natural native species.

They all should be eradicated, IMO.

Iguanas are invasive and destructive. The green ones are the ones whose population has really grown over the past decade in Florida. Can’t say my friends in Fla would be sad if they headed back down south for a warmer climate!

I am afraid of them. Ever since seeing them in the Carribean years ago......They are fascinating looking, but also scary to me, so I wouldn't go anywhere near them. I remember my niece used to live for 4 years in Curacao and the Iguanas were so huge, they were all over her wall in her backyard sunning themselves.......I heard about the falling ones on the news this morning!Yikes!

Most of the ones running around outside are the progeny of family pets. Lots of folks have had them as pets. They look much scarier than they are.

USA Today is running a story called Chicken of the Trees.  People are selling iguana meat.  I can't imagine, but they say it is pretty good.

I am learning something new, wow, live in Az. we have small lizards that we never see in the winter but when it warms up we see them crawling around, they eat bugs & not harm anyone. They are so afraid of us and run under anything to hide.

I can't be good for that poor thing to fall out of a tree & go ker-splat on its back on that hard pool deck!

I would love to see this sight!  Raining iguanas!  I love all creatures....and, like you, would not welcome animal control.  This is their means of survival, not demise.  Interesting information...thanks for the share.

Means of survival? Easy prey just laying there if you ask me
