Re: Fraternity suing Rolling Stone

Rolling Stone deserves all the grief they get for this incredibly poor example of ""journalism"". I am sure it will be used in classrooms for years to come as an example of how not to write and report. Just terrible and failure from top to bottom.

I would like to see them bankrupt Rolling Stone!!

Oh. Please.

I personally would like to see the whole fraternity-sorority system abolished.

It's time to go...

I doubt this was their only issue.

ITA!

But wishing that still doesn't let R.S. off the hook.

As women you should know what that means.

So you don't know. Thank you for participating.

I'm sorry you don't get it...But that's another thread I guess.

If you cannot articulate what you meant then you don't' have an opinion of your own. Once again, thank you.

Re: Fraternity suing Rolling Stone

I think it's very odd that people believe someone's story when there is no evidence whatsoever simply because of their lady parts. Very odd.

I don't know if she's smart or not but a thumbs up emotie is not a supporting statement to an opinion. At least not in my world.

Re: Fraternity suing Rolling Stone

It is unconscionable that those involved in the Rolling Stone story forgot, or never knew, the first tenets of journalism. To simply accept the tale spun by that young woman has done immeasurable damage. I hope the fraternity sues and wins. I hope the reporters and editors involved lose their jobs, but from what I hear, that's not going to happen...yet another Rolling Stone wrong. Worst of all, young women who are true victims of se**al assault may have a harder time being believed or fearful of reporting the event at all.

Wasn't it Rolling Stone that made Tsarnaev (the man who blew off Americans limbs and killed a little boy) into some sexy rock star?

Yes, it was them.

Re: Fraternity suing Rolling Stone

Most people thought that the Boston Bomber Rolling Stone cover should have been this:

Rolling Stone magazine elevated Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to rock star status on its most recent cover but many feel the publication should have featured the faces of his alleged victims, as evidenced by altered images of the cover floating around the internet.

instead of this:
