Part of my childhood is gone. My dad was always an Orioles fan, and I don't remember anything else. There was nothing else in the summer for me but running around barefoot, baseball, and crabs! And the Robinson "twins" - Frank and Brooks. And Jim Palmer, Dave McNally, and of course Earl Weaver. I stayed an Orioles fan no matter where DH and I lived for a long time. Shortly after DH (a life-long Pirates fan) and I were married, we were blessed to share season tickets with another couple. Those days were some of the happiest ones I remember. The "original" Orioles I knew were long gone from Baltimore, but there was a new team to enjoy!

Someone once said Mr. Robinson had dignity and grace - they were so right. Baseball has lost one of the best.
