LOS ANGELES (AP) - Francesca Hilton, the only child of 1950s movie star and perennial celebrity Zsa Zsa Gabor, has died at 67.

Hilton, whose father was hotel founder Conrad Hilton, died Monday night at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles following an apparent heart attack or stroke, said her publicist, Edward Lozzi.

Lozzi said he had been chatting with Hilton by phone just minutes before she was stricken.

"We were discussing her book she was writing and a possible deal," he said. "She had to go to the restroom. She never made it out."

He said Hilton's fiance administered CPR until paramedics arrived.

Born in New York in 1947, Constance Francesca Gabor Hilton worked at various times as an actress, photographer and publicist, and was a familiar presence at her mother's side at public events throughout much of the 1980s and '90s.

Hilton was with her fiancé, Michael Natsis, when she went into distress, Lozzi said. Natsis administered CPR before she was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead.

She is survived by her 97-year-old mother. Hilton's father died in 1979, leaving the vast majority of his multimillion-dollar estate to his foundation. She was given just $100,000.

Hilton sued for more, but lost.

"You can't live in the past," she said in a 2008 Los Angeles Times profile. "That was his decision."

For years, Hilton fought with her stepfather, Frederic von Anhalt, in court over her ailing mother's care.

Recently, von Anhalt, Gabor's ninth husband, forbade Hilton from seeing her mother, who is suffering from dementia and can't speak. Hilton had been discussing her legal options in the hours before her death, Lozzi said.

I knew about Zsa Zsa's daughter but I thought Zsa Zsa was dead. Very dysfunctional family, apparently.

I guess plastic surgery does not help much at age 97.... She had a lot of plastic surgery when younger... and she still just looks very old.

Zsa Zsa was not known to be the best of moms. She would publicly insult her daughter and take issue with her weight. The child was a love child and the Gabors were well known in Europe and America as gold diggers. I always thought she was ridiculous. May her daughter find peace with her transition from this life.

Zsa Zsa said in her book back in the 90's she only became pregnant due to his raping her during their marriage.
