Were the guys the originals?
Not sure, it was definitely Frankie, not certain about the others.

I loved that group and still do. Some of the do-wop stuff really holds up.
One of my favorite old songs is ""You're just too good to be true."" Great song to slow-dance to.

Clint Eastwood directed the film - he was going to direct a new A STAR IS BORN with Beyonce, but something happened to kill that. I am glad, think JERSEY BOYS will be better. Warner Bros has an Eastwood music wing - Clint has written the music for many of his films (& his son, Kyle, has too).

Original Four Seasons were: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi.
However, in 1965 (or thereabouts), Joe Long replaced Nick Massi; thus, Joe Long was a Season on the subsequent hits, some of which are part of the Four Seasons main oeuvre, if I may use such a pretentious word on them. This did cause a bit of a problem when the time came for the group to be inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. Long was not inducted.
[This post is in response to a question about who the original members were. I think you wanted to know the original members of the group and not if the movie features the original Broadway stars of Jersey Boys, the musical.]

As Goldie76 points out, Nick Massi left the group in 1965. He passed away in 2000. Joe Long left the group in 1975 after the hits dried up. They have added and subtracted several members since then.

I wish I would have seen them there! I grew up in Cherry Hill where the Latin Casino was.

That was Frankie's first solo record in 1967, it is actually called Cant Take My eyes Off Of You, I love it too. it is featured in Jersey Boys too.

We loved the Latin. My Mom and my Aunts would get the family (just the girls LOL) together and go several times a year beginning when I was a child. We saw Sinatra, Andy Williams and the Osmonds, Liza, Dean Martin...just loved it.
I noticed you are from Bucks County.....we traded places...we moved to the Jersey Shore 2 years ago from Bucks County.
