Found (for me) a new mystery series

G. M. Malliet has a series (very British) about a former MI5 agent who is now a vicar in a small British town. There are 4 books and titled about the seaons (W'd Autumn). Very good and reminds me of Midsomer Murders

Bungo--Thank you so much for this recommendation. These books are delightful! I love the author's sense of wit and humor. I am enjoying the "Autumn" one right now, and plan to take the others with me on our Thanksgiving drive to relatives' house. These would make delightful TV shows--who would you have play Max? I'm thinking Hugh Grant!

These sound good. I'm always looking for another series. In looking up this author, I found she also writes the St. Just mystery series. The first one is Death of A Cozy Writer.

Oh thank you so much for posting this. I love these type of mysteries set in a small English village. While I read a lot of different kinds of mysteries and paranormal sometimes, a book like this is just the perfect thing to read for all sorts of reasons.

Thank you again and Happy Reading

ps-have you ever read the Martha Grimes series, the ones with Richard Jury in them. I think you would love them

Are these related to the TV series ""Father Brown?""
