Thanks ncascade! Im a big fan of Midsomer Murders, love to rewatch them on Netflix. Read Netflix is pulling all the BBC shows due to a contract dispute. Sigh.

The Netflix deal with the BBC is resolved so hopefully the shows are safe, phew Thanks for the recommendation for these books. Do they go in order, winter first?

Just saw clips for the new PBS mystery series called "Grantchester", premiering this Sunday (1/18/15) on Masterpiece. Reminds me of these books, but set in the 1950's. Still, who doesn't like a "dishy vicar?"

I read the first one in this series and liked it. I thought it started out a little slow in the first few chapters, but then it picked up steam. The fifth book, "THE HAUNTED SEASON", will be coming out in October.
