I LOVE this show and love them!
My style is just like hers, they are adorable! I follow them on FB, too.

I like that show too, mainly because the couple is so nice to each other --no blips from bad words or screaming or yelling--and she does a fabulous job with the designs. They both respect each other and work very well together. Nice change for reality TV.

I also like this show and her decorating style. I don't think she has ever done a house a didn't like.

My favorite part of the show is that old houses with good bones don't have to go under the wrecking ball. The transformation is a joy to watch.

They are amazing! They purchase a house that in my opinion should be torn down to the ground and renovate it for a lot less than I would expect--make it totally livable and beautiful. My favorite was the two story in an older section of Waco that they bought from the city for $15,000 and sold it or had it valued at $125,000! You have to have guts and a lot of energy to do that. Also, you have to have the vision!
My vision would have been a wrecking ball.

Never saw it but I like old homes too. They are made much better than these new homes! (like ours). When I lived in the city we had solid brick/cement homes. Our home now you could huff and puff and blow it down.lol. I hate the drywall too. We have to find studs on the walls to hang heavy things. lol. (in the city you could hang things to the walls anywhere because the walls were sturdy!). Also when its windy here we can hear the wind blowing like cracking sounds in the wall. Not used to all that having come from the city where homes were built sturdy!

I love this show!
I think this is the one you are talking about:
The "before" picture was worse than it looks. It was a disaster inside.

They are a very engaging couple with an adorable family of pets and children, but I discovered the show a while ago and now all I am seeing is reruns.
These folks are so creative in rescuing beautiful old houses--and then they actually listen to the buyers when they work out the design. It is not quite my taste, the room designs, but they are what the couples request.
