I woke up during the night about 3:00 a.m. and was walking to my kitchen when I noticed my two cats playing and poking at something like they do when they see a spider. I walked over to take a look to see if was some type of "bad" spider and to my surprise found them jumping around a brown snake! I have been in my house almost 30 years and have never had a snake enter the house. It was not a large snake and it appeared to be a garden snake but for me ANY snake in my house is too large and uninvited! We removed it from the house and let it go in a field away from my house but now I have the heebie jeebies and am afraid to move around the house without the lights on and am not sleeping well. This may have been an isolated incident but I'm afraid if it happened once it could happen again, so we have been trying to "snakeproof" the house by filling any holes in the brick/foundation, covering vent holes etc. I feel like I can't rest in my own home Smiley Sad Luckily, I don't live in an area with rattlesnakes and I was fortunate that my cats alerted me to it! Anyone else experience anything like this?
