Hi, Noel. The breasts are two to a pouch and sold in a three-pouch strip.

Thanks! I got them once but haven't seem them lately. I'll ask if I still can't find them next time.

That's still no guarantee that you won't get sick from salmonella.

That's my whole point. Even so-called "organic" chicken isn't 100% guaranteed to be salmonella free.

You're right, there is no guarantee. I was in a salmonella scare years ago, it was in the water.

All of the warning we are getting on the food is a little scary. Knudsen cottage cheese still isn't on the shelves out there. It's been weeks. It was more than just one or two batches.

thanks for the thread. I hadn't heard about it on the news.

I haven't heard anything about Knudsen, I love that brand, especially their lite sour cream!

I'm a Knudsen lover too.

"The company said the recalled brands include certain Knudsen Cottage Cheese, Breakstone's Cottage Cheese, Simply Kraft Cottage Cheese and Daily Chef Cottage Cheese products. All of them were made at Kraft's Tulare, Calif. plant, NBC News reported.

Some of the ingredients in the recalled batches of cottage cheese were not stored according to Kraft temperature standards, the company said. The recalled products were distributed across the United States and have code dates from May 9, 2014 through July 23, 2014.

Consumers with these products should not eat them. Instead, return them to the place of purchase for an exchange or refund. For more information, phone Kraft at 1-800-396-6307 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Eastern Time, NBC News reported."

Thanks for the information, I usually do have a Knudsen product in the frig. I hope they fix the problem right away, that's disconcerting.

Yikes! Thanks for the info. Smiley Happy

Hi CB! I'm surprised this hasn't been in the news more. I used to trust FF, they pushed their chicken as clean, but now... finding out about the overuse of antibiotics makes me willing to spend more for organic and grass fed local.

Yeah, this is definitely concerning. I get that there is an inherent risk of salmonella problems with raw poultry and one must be very careful - especially auto-immune disorder people like us and other groups as well. But that they have CAUSED it is very bad.

I, too, always felt comfortable with the FF brand. I guess most things change, eh? Smiley Sad This will absolutely change the decisions I make next time I set out to buy chicken.

They used to have chicken commercials talking about those Arkansas chickens being so bad, guess you shouldn't throw stones in your glass house.
