Yawn...house, apartment, who cares?

After watching Shawn interview Laura Geller, she mentioned that she lives in an apartment building in NYC. You can be sure it's a high end building in a better neighborhood with a door man and other famous people living there, etc.

I'm sure that I could never afford to live in her building but I still have a nice house.

I hope we don't judge people based on whether they live on a "high end", or a "low end".  Sounds silly to me.  One of the best things about NYC is there is assisted housing in the same block as expensive housing in most/many neighborhoods.  I think it's good.  Being exposed to different things.  Maybe we learn something.

I'm sorry, I don't get it.  But, punctuation couldn't hurt.

You can absolutely say what you want.  Just be prepared for the backlash if it's unintelligible.

Home ownership is (or used to be) the American Dream.  Could that be what she was talking about?

This topic made me laugh.  I don't watch Jen hosting if possible.

Like other hosts, what they share about themselves is not important to the item presented. Cat LOL

BUT...is it PAID FOR ??????

Mine is!  And the original house was paid for 15 years early.  When we doubled the size of the house, the 10 yr note was paid off in 6 yrs.  IMO, that is something to be proud of and thankful for.

We don't use credit cards anymore.  Haven't since we were in our 20s.  That's a lie.  I put a $1000 worth of new tires on a card but will pay it off with MY SS check when the first pymt is due on Sept 7.

A homeowner has more freedom to decorate how she wants to.  I've seen enough blogs and videos to know you can't go around punching holes in walls as a renter.
