World Central Kitchen is one of our preferred charities.

What happened in Ohio never should have happened.  That said, laws should be enacted to ensure safety.

In the meantime, I find it hard to believe people in this community are safe.  Too much of a rush to declare everything is fine and dandy by people who don’t live there.

Our fellow Americans deserve so much better.

@PamfromCT

Did you see that  Chef José Andrés was at the horrible "train site" even before I heard that authorities were there!!   He is ONE AMAZING MAN, caring, generous, giving man, as are his incredible, devoted Workers!

How Chef José Andrés manages to tote around all that food,supplies, cooking implements, and still arrives in a heartbeat, moments after the Emergency, arriving some times even before officials,  is a total mystery to me.!  Bless his great big, heart, as well as his devoted

All of them even "risked life & limb" in Ukraine under active bombings!  I believe he lost some Workers in Ukraine, when a kitchen was bombed.  And still, the volunteers kept coming, as did the Chef (unless yet another Emergency happens)!!

Amazing

Soo good of you.  I agree!  No hungry or thirst!

Oh yeah.   Chef José Andrés     of World Central Kitchen. His charity name escaped me, thinking it might be this Forbes #1. Seems should be, eh?

I think I heard that Chef José Andrés   was at the horrible "train site" even before I heard that authorities were there!!  That is ONE AMAZING MAN, along with his incredible workers!!  Woman Happy

The rankings are by size, not some sort of "worthiness" ranking.

@jonbon

    Cld "growth is size" of served ppl,  and/or  "growh in more locales that serve even more ppl in need, more facilities,   , be considered a Forbes "#1 success?"

Do you happen to have a "reference" you can offer,  for your comment above (I highlighted in red)?

Thanks @jonbon

Your original post has a line that states "Foodbank Network Ousts United Way As America's Largest Charity."

The rankings are based on private donations. Is that what you mean by size?

I was just going by the line in the original article that called it America's largest charity.
