For your 2018 New Years Resolution or anytime...

I just saw a response to a post I made earlier this week by a poster that is just unhappy.  I am going to share this in case it reaches someone who may be where I was this time last year.

I was miserable.  In a job I hated (still am but the end is near) and desperate to take back control of my life both personally and professionally.

I had looked around at changing careers for a while and finally settled on one I could do online from home in my own spare time that I had an interest in.  I did it and I am at the tail end of it currently externing at a local store to get real world experience.  I am not a kid.

My point is that if you are also looking to get happy, take a chance, reach a new level of wellness, get through rehab, try something different, learn a new thing, etc....GO FOR IT!

I did baby steps for months until I finally took the plunge and committed to a path to really work towards my goal which was a new life.  And I am right on the precipice of having it.

You can have the same moment.  Just start looking around online, at the library, where ever your interests may lie. If you need suggestions, post away as we all do on here.  There's someone who can probably help guide or give sincere advice when you don't know where to start or get lost.  And we all do.  Don't worry about it.

And the people that will discourage you in real life and those that will post here negatively are to be passed by.  Don't let them get you down or pull your focus including those pesky accumulating birthday candles.  You are never to old to try something different.  If it doesn't work, NEXT!

You do you.  In private if necessary.  Put your head down, do the work, practice, keep at it, don't give up, and you will find the better whatever it is for you on the other side of all this too whether it's in a month, several months, or a year from now.

I'll only speak for myself but you already have one cheerleader in your corner whatever it is you decide to do coming up in 2018.

Misery may love company but reaching your goals short or long term is a full out all kinds welcome party blow out that you absolutely no matter who you are deserve to attend.

Best Wishes to getting what you want in 2018!  Heart

Good for you for turning your life around.  I need to do something too.  We recently got a second dog, which is something new and fun, which is great.  But I also need a new outlook on life.  The months are flying by, and I feel like I am missing out on things.

Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else. Margaret Mead

@Laura14 how kind of you to reach out to someone you noticed here that is struggling.

These times of uncertainty, sadness, horror, things like this make us realize there is such goodness in people still.  THAT will never change I pray, the goodness.

To you, so glad your life is taking on a direction to make you smile and be calm with life.

SIMPLE KINDESSES LIKE THIS REALLY DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

FABULOUS YOU ARE !!!!!!!

@Puppy Lips  Do it!  Just start trying different things.  One will stick or peak your interest.

I let life pass me for 20 plus years before I finally had the courage to just try and do my own thing.  Right now, it's working for me and I am happier than I can't even remember when.  Not perfect but just a feeling of I am going to be okay for the immediate future and I am able to take care of myself.

And congratulations on the new dog!  I am still not ready for a new pet myself but I spent the holidays loving on my sisters' dogs so I got my doggy hugs and kisses in.  Heart

And I couldn't agree more.  Pass it along when you figure something out for yourself.  Chances are someone may be looking to do the same thing and just needs the spark of an idea or to read the encouragement to get themselves going.  That's the whole point of the post.

@Laura14

Congratulations!

And you seem full of courage (because you tried); positive energy (because you can finally see the light); strength (because you ventured out of your comfort zone!)

I’m so happy for you!♥️

I hope you have a GREAT 2018!
