Some of my repeat purchases are the maple syrup and premade salad by Taylor Farms. Also the grass fed organic ground beef is a good buy. I also transferred by prescriptions to them.nSome are cheaper .. As you can see by these answers there are many good buys. And if you have a place to store bulk buying its a good place to add to your shopping.I get my gas there too.
One warning. I dont' buy the rotissiere chicken anymore. ( i used to) Google about it . Its not the healthiest choice. $5 is a steal for those with families- but what are you actually feeding them? Make wise choices. And it's certainly up to you. Enjoy if you sign up! As others have said.. it is a busy place and I go right when they open and it's not too bad.( 10 am)

Yes, I heard it is very busy all the time. My sister and I signed up before it opened and plan on getting there in the morning when they open at 10:00.

Our Costco is fantastic in every way. I hope you have a substantial pantry!
However, they have everything from tires for your vehicle, even the vehicles themselves, to prescriptions for the entire family and pets.
Tools for every handy person....the bakery is to die for as we say, and the clothing and shoes are usually a steal compared to other places. Technology, jewelry, vision, hearing, books, seasonal everything....you name it, you may find it at your new Costco.
Enjoy take your time getting familiar with the store. They constantly add new stock and have monthly reward (sales) to consider.
Have a fun time with your sister!! ![]()

Have been a Costco member since they opened here many years ago.
Right now, the pumpkin pies are in and always $5.99. I can'tmake one that large for that.
Rotisserie chicken is also fixed at $4.99.
Costco's return policy is the best. No time limit and no receipt required; just your membership card; everything else is in their system.
Middle of the week afternoons is best time for Costco. Crowds are more manageable.
You can check the price of gas on their website. The price changes daily. Always at least 10 cents cheaper a gallon or more here.
I always check out the clothing on their website before buying in the warehouse. Shipping is rolled into the price online so you may pay a dollar or two if you order some things online.
Our favorite things:
Kirkland daily facial towelettes
Olay body wash,
Premier Protein drinks.
Fresh Rotisserie chicken
Bagels
Street tacos in the fresh prepared foods section
Fresh salmon
Kirkland paper towels and bath tissue
Ziploc freezer bags
Valley Splendor birdseed
Flameless candles-sets of five or six.
Organic berries and other produce
Too much more to list!

The Costco here no longer make the sheet cakes. Bummer. They still offer the layer cakes and many other great cakes and pastries.

I have both BJ's and Costco memberships. If I were forced to discontinue one, it would be Costco. The main reason is that it's only my husband and I in the house now. Except for apples, we could never consume the mass quantitities of pre-packaged meat and produce before they go bad. (Freezing is not an option, we only have a fridge/freezer.)
What we do buy:
What we won't buy:
I can buy most of that stuff at BJs, which is why I'd keep that membership if I had to choose.

i'm so jealous!! i've been to Costco in the PNW and love it! it has been rumored we will get one but if we ever get a Costco they will put it in the same area with a painfully overcrowded outdoor mall.
we are stuck with BJs. i don't even bother with the free membership now. the employees are snarky and they always have the same old junk and the meat, chicken and fish selections are poor.
cannot stand BJs. NO comparison to Costco
