Re: For those of us still in the grips of summer heat...

oh my the humidity spiked pretty bad today. We stayed closed up beginning last night. It was high last night but this afternoon it has gotten to oppressive again.

This week we are going back into very warm weather no 90’s but high 80’s and with humidity factored in, we’ll be in the 90’s.

then a tropical storm is supposedly come on shore in the gulf somewhere and roll up the east coast within the next week or so.

@sassenach1, you are so right about summer in the midwest. I live in the St. Louis area, and it is still so hot and humid. DH and I went to grandson's football game this afternoon and were melting by the end of the game. I'm sick of it! Please - just let us have temps in the low 70s with no humidity so I can turn my AC off!

@viva923 I just saw that! My local paper has an alert to watch out for Michael. I was like Michael who?

@Spurt and I just talked about this. The weather people declare a drought and then a hurricane runs you over. Thanks wsbtv.

Mikey better eat his Wheaties and bring us some cooler weather after the wind and rain. I am out of trimmer line and I refuse to buy lawn care products in October. It was all replaced in the stores by Christmas decorations a month ago.

What is wrong with Mother Nature?  The H & H needs to go away!

Only good thing about it is that my flower garden is still going strong!

I want to go back to my Ole'Home Country - Minnesota!

Hang in there everyone.  This has to end, Right?  Right?!

LOL, people want to go back there?  ;-)  I'm from N.D.

*ETA*   It seems to be in the 30's in Williston as well already. They had a pretty nice winter last year.   Same with the 2 different places in Mt my family live.

@debic

Where are you? I’m coming up there!

We will have lows in the 50’s this week here in TX... can’t wait.

I didn’t look at the predicted highs!

I live in Evanston, Wy.   We're high altitude so we don't get the heat most places do.   We do get cold tho.
