Be still my heart... Those sound so good, sarahpanda!! Can almost smell then from here. They wouldn't stand a chance at our house. I know your congregation will enjoy them -- what a treat!
Later I'm making a couple of peach cobblers from my canned peaches. Hoping they turn out good.

WaJa61: These pecan things are FOOL PROOF - another reason I love them so much. Here is the recipe for them if you care to try them. I can honestly say, without a doubt, these are the most perfect little things you'll ever fix..if you like pecans and graham crackers. It's a recipe from mother in law from way years past...most likely the BEST ONE ever shared.
GRAHAM CRACKER PECAN CHEWS
box of honey graham crackers
1/2 cup sugar
1 and 1/2 sticks of margarine (I used Parkay)
1 and 1/4 cups of chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Break the graham crackers into sections as noted on the crackers. Arrange them on a cookie sheet. Melt the margarine in a saucepan and then add the sugar and pecans and cook until frothy and bubbly, about 4 or 5 minutes. Drop the pecan mixture onto the graham crackers using a teaspoon Bake in oven for 10 minutes. Remove the crackers from the pan immediately to a piece of wax paper or cooling rack and allow to cool. You won't believe how good these are. ENJOY !!

Can't wait to try these, sarahpanda!! These will make perfect football munchies -- hubby will love them, too. The older, simpler recipes are always the BEST. I'll let you know what a hit they are here. Thanks so much for the family recipe!!

Duly warned!! Just told hubby, I'm dashing off to pick up some pecans for a special Sunday surprise. See you back here soon! (Wearing my stretch pants, no doubt!)

Here I am, sarahpanda, in my comfy stretch pants enjoying these incredibly tasty morsels with hubby, while watching the DEN/STL game!
You really should market them. No kidding! I sprinkled just a tiny bit of NoSalt on the second batch before they cooled -- WOW! Just perfection.
I wonder how they would store in pretty gift cans, for just a few days, for Christmas giving? Did you or your MIL ever try it?
Thanks again, and I hope you are enjoying your Sunday!

to WaJa61: I'm so happy that you and DH are enjoying them. I bet they would be fine in gift cans. I stored mine in a Lock and Lock container - and have stored them in zip lock bags for a couple of days. They don't usually last longer than that around here. Happy Sunday to you and yours - and have a great week also !

Love this!
My cousin has a silhouette and makes all sorts of signs, etc. like this. I will probably check with her first to see if she can make me one.

Love that print! On Sat I sent family pics for several ornaments to send the folks back home in Ireland. Thanks again, sarahpanda--the recipe looks great, too. Perfect for holiday snacking!
